MAKING LEAF TURTLES

I'm always on the lookout for leaves with interesting shapes and vein patterns and
recently got some wonderful ones from a friend who has hazelnut trees.
 Eventually the turtles will be fired, glazed, then fired a second time.

 When finished, they make cheerful additions
 to planters, terrariums, windowsills, desks, shelves - or wherever.
